This workshop will introduce administrators to various research compliance areas including export controls, conflicts of interest, research data management, and research misconduct. Each research compliance topic will be discussed at an introductory, practical level, to help answer questions such as: How does this topic impact the issues that researchers care about? What University resources are available to help researchers handle this topic and how can administrators support their faculty/principal investigators? The workshop will also focus on how these research compliance topics may affect sponsored awards, non-compliance implications to the researcher and the institution, required notification/communication with agencies, and confidentiality rules.Intended Audience: Research administrators (central, school, department/local units), faculty assistants, lab managers, and other administrative staff who have a basic knowledge of research administration. Register on the Harvard Training Portal.
